Peloton Café Mural Viana do Castelo
What is it
Peloton Café is a cyclist-run specialty coffee shop in the heart of Viana do Castelo. Blending great coffee with cycling culture, it's a favorite stop for local and touring cyclists, offering homemade treats, vegan options, and a warm space decorated with jerseys and bike memorabilia.
But Peloton is more than just a café: once a year, they open up their garden to emerging and local artists, giving them the chance to paint a mural and leave their mark on the space. It's a small but meaningful way of supporting the local creative scene — turning the café into a living, ever-changing canvas where cycling culture and art meet.
I had the honor of painting the very first mural to inaugurate this project.

How i did it
For this mural, I had complete creative freedom but I knew exactly what I wanted to capture: the same warmth and positivity you feel the moment you step into Peloton Café. My goal was to design a cheerful, energetic illustration that would make people smile, echoing the atmosphere of the space itself.
Since cycling is at the heart of Peloton's identity, movement became a key part of the concept — a way to visually connect the mural to the café's cycling culture.
To keep the project budget-friendly, I worked with a minimal palette of just three colors, choosing yellow as the dominant tone to tie the artwork seamlessly into Peloton's brand identity and the café's existing decor.
